Core i9-13980HX

The Intel 13th generation laptop flagship Core i9 13980HX has been spotted with 24 cores and 5.6 GHz turbo clocks.

Another Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake-HX CPU is in the works. It has been revealed that the i9-13980HX will take the top spot in Intel’s upcoming 13th Gen Core lineup, which will be announced soon.

Based on these leaks, it’s safe to assume that the Core i9 13980HX is based on binned 13900HX chips and can therefore naturally clock faster. Overall, the 13th generation Raptor Lake mobile processor lineup is looking good, with monster chips like the i9 13980HX and equivalent HK models. The HX laptop processor line will be unveiled at CES 2023, with early leaks indicating that the Core i9 13900HX will lead the pack. Intel, on the other hand, has introduced a new tier above it that will rely solely on faster operating frequencies to deliver more.

The Core i9-13900HX will be the flagship SKU, according to all leaks surrounding Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake laptop processors. In single and multi-threaded workloads, the chip outperformed the current performance champion (Core i9-12950HX). However, Intel is working on another high-end Raptor Lake laptop CPU, the Core i9-13980HX. According to reports, Intel is developing an ultra-high-end Raptor Lake processor called the Core i9-13980HX. It will have a base TDP of 55 W, a boost clock of 5.6 GHz, and 24 cores (8C + 16c).
